Gossip Item # 1: Lady Love Interests
The latest rumor spreading like wildfire in the media concerns Rihanna’s sexual orientation. Former model and businessman woman, Natajah “Tajah” Burton, is releasing a tell-all book entitled, “Low Down Dirty Shame” in which she reveals a number of lesbian trysts with celebrities. The biggest shocker on the list was Rihanna. Burton swears that she dated Rihanna, and that it was Rihanna who pursued a relationship with Burton!
Rihanna is another woman in a long string of recent celebrity “outings” in the past couple of years. Most notably, Lindsay Lohan shocked the country when she came out as a lesbian in 2008. Lady Gaga has frequently pushed the envelope of her sexuality, hinting at, but never confirming her orientation. Since then, many female stars have been suspected of having lesbian affairs, but it is only Rihanna who has her secrets revealed in a tell-all book. With such public exposure, we almost feel bad for her!
Gossip Item #2: Lindsay Lohan Calls 911 on Paparrazi
Lindsay Lohan just can’t stay out of gossip rags. It’s almost as if she purposefully provokes situations in the most inflammatory way possible, but it’s all probably just PR tactics. Who knows anymore? Yesterday, Lohan called 911 and reported the photographers who follow her as stalkers. This attention seeking star seems to have had enough of the paparazzi who ironically are responsible for keeping her in the spotlight she so craves.
She is has not taken legal recourse, but she has called the police numerous times for help, not just with one specific member of the paparazzi, but all of them! It’s overwhelming to live your life like a zoo animal, but it’s impossible to decide anymore what she provokes and what is real. Sadly, Lohan has become the girl who cried “Wolf!”
We received a huge influx of inventory at Bag Inc this week, mostly to prepare for Valentine’s Day sales. However, some truly tasty bags came into our possession, and now it’s time to announce our decision for the one that gets selected to be Bag of the Week.
It was a tough decision, but we finally decided on the Designer Bag in Khaki It ticked all the right boxes for us. We love the trendy khaki shade and how awesome the gold hardware looked against it. The structured bag is going to be the Number One bag for 2011, and this structured bag is so perfect. It’s stylish and chic, and perfect for office and casual wear. We just know this bag will make our friends drool with envy.
Maybe you’re reading this to get gift suggestions for your significant other, or you maybe you want ideas for gifts so you can drop some hints. No matter the reason, we’ve got a great selection to showcase for you! Our brand new stock of designer-inspired jewelry alone will make her fall in love with you all over again (and definitely won’t break the bank). If it’s a handbag she’s wanting, we’ve got that covered for you, too.
We know Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which is why we’ve been working hard to stock items that she’s guaranteed to love.
Jessica Alba was snapped recently on the streets of LA in a comfortable, but stylish outfit. We love the casual jacket with rolled up sleeves and oversized tiger print tee. If it wasn’t for the fact that she paired some low-key basics with a skirts, heels and a killer bag, we’d think she was out grocery shopping.
This look is so effortlessly “dressed up casual” that we had to replicate it for ourselves. Using one of our new items in stock, the Affordable Designer Leather Bag, as a our version of her tobacco colored top-handle tote, we pieced together an inexpensive version of her ensemble.
This is a big week for fashion and celebrities. Monday saw the launch of Paris Couture Week, and today the nominees for The Oscars were released. It’s also time for the annual Sundance Film Festival. All of this means lots of celebrity pics and news. We’ll try to keep up!
First, some of our favorite style icons were nominated for Oscars this year. Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Williams were just a few who got the nod from the Academy. We look forward to Oscar season because we LOVE being dazzled by the parade of couture dresses and accessories on the red carpet. Be sure to check back here for post-event pics of the Best Dressed.
We can’t wait to see what they wear!
There’s some buzz around celeb fashion at Sundance. It’s cold in Park City, Utah and the celebs are bundling up in a variety of ways. Most of them are favoring the following looks:
It’s winter, and if you need some cues for bundling up right now, these Sundance goers are a good group to steal style from. Layers, stylish ponchos, capes, tall boots, and thick, fur-trimmed parkas are where it’s at right now.
Last, but certainly not least, be sure to check out Christian Dior’s Spring 2011 collection from Couture Week. It has created quite a stir on the internet and should not be missed. It is really exquisite, and considered to be one of Galliano’s best collections to date.
Couture Week is upon us, the first event in the weeks long litany of fashion events held around the globe. This week showcases some of the fashion world’s hottest designers, and all of the details of their collections will be sure to be circulating the internet only minutes after the show wraps. Some of the best moments of Couture Week like in details like stages, special guests, and the music that is played during each show. We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful moments Couture Week holds.
What’s happened so far? Paris Couture Week kicked off today with Christian Dior’s 2011 Spring/Summer collection Not only has Couture Week gotten off to a fabulous start, we also have had the pleasure of being graced with the Queen Monster herself and her new Monster remix that she created for this season’s most talked about creative director (for Mugler), Nicola Formichetti.
